Signs of the Times reports that governments don't want to increase spending on NEO tech/programs because it would cost more than the damage that might be done by an object exploding/impacting. New Sims of Asteroid Ocean Impact

Good news? New Scientist reports that a University of Oslo researcher ran sims of a 200 meter asteroid hitting Earth in an area of the ocean 5 km. deep. While the news is better than what was believed before, it's not all roses. Click the title to learn more.
