In case you haven't heard, J.J. Abrams, who did the Star Trek reboot, is going to be directing the first installment of the next Star Wars trilogy. This is awesome. He breathed new life into the Star Trek universe, and io9.com's Charlie Jane Anders opines about how and why he can do it for Star Wars.
