Gizmodo reports that a Lifehacker has created a wicked cool Star Trek the Next Generation style desktop. It uses some scripts/apps called bowtie, icalBuddy, and Geektool, among other things, combined with a base desktop image. Click on the links to see pictures and download the tools and base image.
